Beautiful 16" finished wool tweed cushion. What can be more fitting than a basket of fruit at autumn, or in the fall?
Perfect for anytime of the year, this cushion really comes into its own during the harvest festival and thanksgiving season. The basket of fruit can be made using the fusible web method of appliqué although we made ours using the simple Bosal In-R-form technique which we have been developing. The basket contains a pumpkin, cherries, grapes, pear, apple and plums with elegant ears of wheat stitched onto the background.
Our still life could be added to many projects, so think outside the box.
This sewing pattern which is included is very simple to follow.
Lovely cushion with bags of seasonal character. Our basket contains an apple, pear, plum, pumpkin cherries and grapes with ears of wheat stitched into the background; all made using our very simple appliqué technique using Bosal In-R-Form. Having said that you could also do the fusible web technique if you prefer.
Autumn is one of my favourite times of the year, there are so many wonderful colours to enjoy. There is also something that links autumn and a rustic style, or as you say across the pond in America, there is something that links the fall and a rustic style.
We have used wool tweed for our fruit basket.
If you like our harvest themed designs other titles we have are a large sunflower head which you can mount on the wall or use as a cushion, a basket of fruit cushion which we have called Seasons Bounty, the cutest 3D Triumphant Toadstools and free standing mini sunflowers too Swish Sunflowers. |
