Birds of a Feather, block of the month patchwork quilt kit, designed by Michaela Smith. Approximately 60" square finished size it is very manageable. We have made our quilt using British Wool Tweed from the Abraham Moon woollen mill in Yorkshire. We are incredibly proud of this local provenance, we are based less than an hour away so it's a real positive for our carbon footprint.
When you buy block one of ten from the website, we will contact you to make the necessary arrangements in order for you to receive the rest of this quilt month by month, including instructions. The block of the month programme includes all fabrics for the quilt top and binding. Additional requirements are thread, fusible web, wadding and backing.
Simple patchwork blocks such as pinwheel also known as windmill block and shoo fly, help to set off to perfection the stunningly simple stylised birds appliquéd on each block.
Our backbone at Quilting Antics is built on beautiful British Wool Tweed and as I have already mentioned we predominantly use tweeds from the Abraham Moon Mill, a world leader in tweed, when you buy Abraham Moon tweed you know you are buying the highest quality.
