Bobbing Along, this is the sewing pattern for our adorable sea otter patchwork beach bag . The sea otters are constructed very easily either using our Bosal In-R-Form method of appliqué or the usual fusible web method of appliqué. We have used a very simple strip patchwork method to piece the bag if you prefer you could make the sides all one fabric or swap them for more complicated patchwork piecing, can you imagine how impressive clam shells would look as an alternative?
The tweed sea otters are also available as an appliqué pack which includes the bag pattern.
Using British Wool Tweed to make your bag will catapult your work from homemade to handmade; your friends will be dazzled by your handiwork!
Once you start quilting with wool, more especially wool appliqué you will be hooked! Our British Wool Tweed is predominantly from the Abraham Moon Mill in Yorkshire a heritage which we, at Quilting Antics, are very proud of. If you have come across the name Abraham Moon you will of course know that the word quality is woven into every inch of the fabric. |
