This project is one of pure joy! Whether you are making your doors for your own house or to hide in the woods, you will have hours of fun and no doubt become increasingly creative. It has been a trend for ages to buy expensive wooden fairy doors and fasten them to trees, so why not fabric ones? Much cheaper to make than the wooden ones as you can make them from scraps of any suitable fabric, so a great way to reduce waste.
The doors are fairly easy to make so can be made with children, you would have to decide which bits you should do and which buts they should do. The initial background and door can be made in mere minutes once you get the hang of them, the good bit is the decoration, this can be as simple and elaborate as you like, the designs mingled between the designs. Changing the colours also helps them to work across a range of seasons and situations.
Included are a witch, fairy, a squirrel, hedgehog and our favourite the frog or if you prefer toad.
