Illuminated Letters Pattern Booklet
Our latest booklet, which will be launched on the Create and Craft TV Chanel on Sunday the 28th of January is now available now for preorder. Books will be posted out from the 30th of January 2024.
An illuminated letter is usually. the first letter of a page or paragraph, often found in medieval texts, as well as Bible's, hymn and prayer books. The first letter was always enlarged, coloured and embellished with gold; while the rest of the text remained plain.
We have styled a full alphabet of twenty Six capital letters and offered simple decoration to illuminate them. You can embellish to your hearts content, copy our ideas directly, swap the decoration around, stitch or applique the decoration, or keep them quite simple.
We have put together a book of inspiration which you can use with many many other projects.
In true Quilting Antics style we have also given you several simple yet different project ideas which you can personalise and adapt to suit your own needs. We are still working on the finished samples and the photograph will follow in due course.
The booklet contains:
A full alphabet of chunky capital letters which can be illuminated.
A smaller plain full alphabet to complete your words.
A set of decorations to mix and match between the illuminated letters.
All alphabets will be in more than one size for use in a larger number of projects.

A cushion.
A pillow.
A tote bag.
A basic book cover.
An owl wall hanging.
A book mark,
An item with a Celtic swan design, which we are still working on.
As you can see this is a bumper collection and should keep you bust for a long time.
